SpAiN!

We finally went on our very own trip without our kiddos!! I drove myself crazy trying to decide if I could leave them or not, but my mother was wonderful enough to keep them and we had a great time!!

We didn't know where we were going but we ended up in Madrid which turned out to be perfect! The weather was awesome and Matt could speak to the people, and of course the flight there and back was SOOO fun!

These pictures are backwards so this was our second day there, we rented a cute little car and drove out to a town called Segovia, I loved being able to see outside of the main city. It made it feel like we were actually seeing Spain because we were able to see all the small towns and the mountains! Here toured an old castle and this was one view from inside of it.

















Here is Matt in the Knight's Armory Room or something ;) Some of the armor statues were so tiny, like little kids!














Of course I only brought my 50mm lens, so we couldn't get a good picture of the whole castle! But this was a peice of it! ;)










The next few pictures are from our first day, most of them are right in the middle of downtown Madrid! There are lots of people and everyone is always moving but it's so quiet! It was really neat! There are parks all over and we stopped at this HUGE indoor market that had everything you could possibly imagine eating! Very neat! But we filled up on bread for most of the day!





Wonderful trip! Thanks Matt and Mom...my kids were NOT excited that we were back so soon, they must have had a really good time!
