Some of September

Saylor turned 10 months old on September 4th!

We can't get enough of this little munchkin! She is the sweetest thing and her personality is really starting to come out. As I have realized with each of the kids, she is very much her own person and no two kids are the same!

She started standing earlier this month and has started to take a few steps now.

She LOVES her "da-da-dad" and wants him as soon as she sees him if he's been gone.

She also loves to swing and will almost jump out of my arms as soon as we get within a few feet of it!
I can't believe her first Birthday is already creeping up on us! It feels like just a few weeks ago that I was so excited for Halloween (last year) because I thought for sure she would be here by then! But she came a few days later and our family has never been better!

So, one thing I wasn't prepared for about California was this. This is fog.   :)
It has been the hardest thing to get used to because this is what it looks like pretty much every morning and every evening.
Nautica's school is right there, see it? Me neither, but it is.
Then during the day, from about 10-5, its bright and sunny and beautiful.  It's crazy and it may likely cause me to have some type of psychological disorder, but I'm trying to get used it!

 Eating lunch with Nautica!

When you have no toys and no furniture, but you do have a tiny TV, "movie night" becomes a common activity!  We also dont have a microwave so for double entertainment we popped popcorn the
old-fashioned way!

In order to get the kids feeling like this is our new home, and help them get into a routine, we put them in a few activities.  Nautica is in school so that helps but we were too late to find a pre-K program for Luke, so we put him in karate and hip-hop!

Here he his at his Kempo Karate class.  This has been a perfect activity for him, he loves it and looks forward to every class! Luckily, it's twice a week or that would make for a really long week :)

Unfortunately another common activity has become eating out.  That includes this fella', but Saylor seems to like him!
At least its a pretty cool one
